About Whitney, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Whitney, Nevada is an unincorporated town formerly known as East Las Vegas. Located in Clark County, the town population was approximately 38,500 as of 2010. At one time, Whitney had its own identity, but the construction of the bypass of Interstate 515 around the community had a negative impact on area business. The economy didn’t begin to recover until the early 2000s, and now, more residents have come back to the area, and the community has created new housing developments.

Whitney is home to a variety of unique attractions to keep residents and visitors busy throughout the day. Numerous events are held throughout the year at Sam Boyd Stadium, and visitors who want to take part in some Vegas-style entertainment may like to checkout Longhorn Casino or Eastside Cannery Casino Hotel. Situated on the outskirts of the Vegas area, there are also several outdoor recreational opportunities available, including a trip to Clark County Wetlands Park or scheduling a tee time at Stallion Mountain Golf Club.

The Las Vegas area, including Whitney, is part of a hot desert climate zone. Due to these weather patterns, the area promises 320 days of sunshine per year, which makes it a popular place to both live and visit. However, with temperatures easily reaching 105 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, conditions can get dangerously hot, so residents will need a cool place to escape the heat. Home and property owners will need to ensure that their air conditioning systems are in proper working order prior to the arrival of the summer heat wave.

Winters are usually mild with high temperatures reaching the mid-50s. However, cold spells do occur, and they sometimes bring along freezing temperatures and snow. During these times, a good home furnace or heat pump is needed to keep residents safe while also preventing pipes and plumbing from freezing.
