Sunrise Service Cooling, Heating, & Plumbing has kept Southern Nevada comfortable since September 1, 1993. Our story: built in the valley, for the valley
Stan Gordon and Alice Ross-Gordon founded Sunrise on September 1, 1993. They had just relocated from San Diego to Henderson and saw a community about to boom — Stan brought years of commercial construction experience, Alice brought financial management expertise, and together they built a mechanical contracting company on one rule: do the job right the first time.
The valley grew fast, and Sunrise grew with it. Within its first decade, the company was installing HVAC systems in roughly 5,000 new homes a year — about a quarter of all new construction in the Las Vegas area at the time. That volume built a reputation for reliability that referrals only compounded, and it taught the team the valley’s housing stock intimately: the systems, the common failures, and the local codes from Green Valley Ranch to the Water Street District to the master-planned communities along Horizon Ridge.
In 2024, Matt Ballard and David Brown took over leadership, bringing more than three decades of combined industry experience. The handoff was deliberate — preserving the culture Stan and Alice built while setting Sunrise up for its next chapter. More than 150 employees now work out of the same Henderson headquarters at 7380 Commercial Way, handling residential and commercial jobs across eleven Southern Nevada communities.
