About Spring Valley, NV - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Formed in May 1981, Spring Valley is a census-designated place and unincorporated town located in Clark County, Nevada. With a population of nearly 180,000 residents, Spring Valley is located two miles west of the Las Vegas Strip. This community mostly consists of housing subdivisions and strip malls that connect the suburban town to the Strip. The southern portion of Spring Valley is developing quickly, and several notable people call the community home, include tennis player Andre Agassi, NASCAR drivers Kyle and Kurt Busch, and comedian Carrot Top.
Since Spring Valley is home to mostly housing complexes, there are few attractions located here. However, there are outdoor recreational opportunities available at the local Springs Preserve. Other attractions can be experienced with a quick drive into Paradise, which houses most of the Las Vegas Strip and other tourist destinations. Some of the most notable Las Vegas area resorts and casinos are found here, including Treasure Island and the Monte Carlo. Other area attractions include the Shops at Crystals, the Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay, and the Boulevard Mall.
Spring Valley and the surrounding Las Vegas area are popular vacation destinations in both the summer and the winter for its desert climate zone. Summers are hot, and thermostats often indicate temperatures of over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. If you’re not prepared for these heat waves, the weather can be dangerous. Whether visiting or living in Spring Valley, you’ll need to make sure you are staying somewhere that has an efficient air conditioning system that is well-maintained to ensure proper operation.
The desert climate zone also leads to comfortable winters. The season is often short and mild, and high temperatures usually average in the mid-50s. At times, freezing weather with snow can occur. Although this is rare, when it does occur, you’ll be glad to have a furnace or heat pump in place to keep your home warm.
