Located within Clark County, Nevada, Sunrise Manor is an unincorporated town found within Las Vegas Township. As of 2010, the population of this community was approaching 190,000 residents, and the town is located along Frenchman Mountain’s western base. Sunrise Manor was developed in 1957, and if it were incorporated it would be one of the largest cities in the state by population. In terms of overall area, the community consists of 33.4 square miles of total area and is located just to the east of Las Vegas.

Some of the most prominent landmarks in the community focus on religion and education. The Las Vegas Nevada Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located here, and it was dedicated in December 1989. Several schools are also located in the area in order to serve Sunrise Manor students, including Sunrise Mountain High School, Las Vegas High School, and Eldorado High School.

Sunrise Manor is home to several notable attractions that may appeal to area visitors and residents.  Gambling can be enjoyed at the Poker Palace Casino or Jerry’s Nugget Casino. The Broadacres Market Place & Event Center features a huge flea market for visitors to find a great bargain, and the Railhead also serves as a popular concert venue for live bands. There are also plenty of areas that offer residents green space, including Martin Luther King Park, Alexander Villas Park, and Lewis Family Park.

Sunrise Manor and the rest of the Las Vegas area are popular winter vacation destinations for travelers due to its mild temperatures. On average, temps will only reach the mid-50s in January, but the winter season is quite short.
